About CIIIT Baramulla

The Centre for Invention, Innovation, Incubation & Training (CIIIT), Baramulla has been established through a joint initiative of the Skill Development Department, Government of Jammu & Kashmir, and Tata Technologies Ltd., along with an industry consortium. CIIIT Baramulla serves as a hub for Industry 4.0 technologies with dedicated competency centers in Electric Vehicles, Mechatronics, Product Design, IoT, Industrial Automation, and Additive Manufacturing. The Centre provides world-class infrastructure, expert mentorship, and advanced training to students, faculty, and industry professionals, bridging the gap between education and the evolving demands of the global workforce.

Objectives of CIIIT

  • Strengthen Government Polytechnic College (Baramulla) vision and mission of innovation, entrepreneurship, and skill development, including all nearby colleges.
  • Enable industry–academia partnerships.
  • Leverage advanced competency centers and industry SME expertise to train students, professionals, and unemployed youth with industry-relevant skills in real environments.
  • Enable competency development in modern engineering tools for product design, development, and manufacturing, and provide insights into Industry 4.0 and other disruptive technologies.
